About Joshua D. Case

Joshua D. Case is an experienced education professional based in New Jersey. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Geography from Rowan University and two Masters of Arts in Teaching from William Paterson University and New Jersey City University, as well as New Jersey teaching certificates in multiple subject areas and specialties.

Joshua's expertise comes from a wide array of experiences. He started as a marching band instructor at Upper Moreland High School in 2012, soon after working in the informal education sector at Adventure Aquarium in Camden and the Turtle Back Zoo in West Orange . He began working in his own classroom in 2015 as a middle school science teacher with the Community Charter School of Paterson, where he also founded and directed their competitive drumline. This experience led him to work as a special education teacher in the South Orange-Maplewood School district and as a middle school science teacher in the Woodbridge Township School District, both at which he also worked with their esports and marching band programs in high-level and/or founding positions. 

Joshua currently works with Dumont Public Schools as a middle school STEM and academic enrichment (gifted) teacher and high school esports coach, along with Park Ridge High School as their assistant marching band director and Ben Porat Yosef through the Teach NJ program. He also works with Garden State Esports to produce and consult on some of their resources and rulebooks after spending four years as the head esports coach at New Jersey City University, and has spent many Sundays volunteering with Friendship Circle of New Jersey's special needs adult programs.

When he is not living his best life as an educator, Joshua has many other hobbies and interests. He enjoys spending time with his family (school counselor wife, infant son, and their three rescued cats), is an avid enthusiast of all things Nintendo and trading card games, enjoys paddleboarding in the lake by his house, and has played saxophone and brass instruments in community performance groups throughout New Jersey and New York City.
